Fabrication of an Aluminum Rear Electronics Cover for the Electronics Industry

At Middleton Machining, we perform custom aluminum fabrication for a range of production volume levels. This high volume aluminum rear electronics cover is produced for a customer in Madison, WI. The cover is fabricated from 16 gauge 5052-H32 aluminum and measures 11.816" x 4.566"x 1.189". Dimensional tolerances for this cover are ±.003". To produce the cover, the aluminum is sheared and punched before the assembly is welded together and ground to a smooth finish using a 150 grit orbital sander.

After the fabrication process, we add purchased components to the cover kit as specified by our customer, streamlining their production process. Our production volume on this part is approximately 750 parts per year with a turnaround time of four weeks. Whether the job is 1 or 1,000 pieces, our production staff uses advanced production management technology to ensure all projects are completed efficiently and on time.
